Congratulations to the finalists and commiserations to Dave and especially to roberton who so nearly made the cut. Glad to have taken a week out after observing that semi but happy to have a new 1v1 this week.

Hello again darl0 - I hope to put up more of a challenge than last time we played

I think 'how much swimming counts' is probably rather subjective.
If you aren't a good swimmer, and a bit scared of OW swimming, then just getting in and having a go, even if you don't cover much more than 25m would be an achievement and would count, for my money.

gg - presumably, yes. If it helps at all my simple mind thinks of the match score as the big numbers in the middle of the game header rather than the smaller font used for the numbers under our names - which, outside tie breaks in multiplayer, are used for badge collecting

gg- yes!

I can't see the actual grid now, but there would have been 76 with your colour on them. That would have been black or red squares depending on which colour you were allocated in the background behind your name in the title bar on your 1v1 game.

I know VJ is joking about counting a mile as the minimum swim, but one of my WSW rules is indeed that each activity has to be at least a mile and I did manage to stick to it throughout the multiplayer. It's just too tempting to square hop otherwise.

Finally, to wrap up a busy (but very enjoyable!) week for me, I've decided to award myself this

Podium finish: I'll take that.

And I am really looking forward to some 1v1 WSW games against the ~1080 ranked people which is where I currently live (until this week's 1v1, I was ranked 100th. There was a danger of not even qualifying for the next multiplayer 🤦‍♀️)

I think the shortest swim I have logged would be about 250m (10 lengths) prior to or during wsw. My min is usually 500m though. I'm in a warm pool so it is a lot easier.

How does your warm pool register a GPS signal? Is it a fancy geothermal Icelandic thingy?
