Gave last week, passed the iron test - my blood was like sludge. No noticeable effect on running.

July. My turn again in the middle of Oct. I'm a B+ which is about 12% of the UK population so on the basis I never know when I might need some I think it's worth 30 mins of minor discomfort - and the 30-ish mins of sitting around beforehand and the 15 or so afterwards.

Couple of hours 4 times a year against possibly helping save someone's life? There's nothing to discuss really, is there?

Not sure when my next turn is - need to make sure I drink plenty of Guinness before though.

Nothing to discuss at all - except for how many biscuits/crisps it's polite to snaffle afterwards

Mine is due. Just need to find time to get it done. No excuses, since I've scratched any plans for a PB attempt this autumn :)

Where else can you get Tuc cheese sandwiches? Worth it for that and the superheated tea alone.

Last time I gave blood I was told that "some new research" shows it's best to drink a litre of water immediately before the donation. Information on exactly how this was "best" and in relation to what, however, was not forthcoming. Somebody had just inserted a new line in the script which the staff were just passing on at face value. I wonder whether the "new research" was carried out by some manufacturer of waterproof sheets?
