Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

The recent rest is history episodes on Robert Oppenheimer are pretty extraordinary. Crikey, he sounds an "interesting" character.

If anyone has stayed subscribed to the "Serial" feed you've probably had the 5 episode series called "The Retrievals" through recently.

I'm just finishing up the final episode and it's pretty harrowing listening. It's covering the story of a US fertility clinis where a nurse was stealing the pain meds (for her addiction) and swapping in saline, and the women who were subsequently treated with no pain meds and precious little sympathy from the medics who ignored the pain they suffered during procedures.

Makes you think more deeply about how the western world has been built by and for white men and so many of the systems, even when they're supposed to be caring for women, come at it from a male point of view.

Definitely worth a listen but be prepared to be upset.

Not a podcast as such, but I'd bookmarked this when it was broadcast but the bookmark became "404 not found" not soon after and I've only just found it again under Drama on 4.

If, like me, you've ever wondered how two such extraordinary people came to be a couple: Love Pants: Ian Dury & Jane Horrocks bbc.co.uk It's good. The music is, of course, great.

I’ve been listening to Sports Bizarre recently. A couple of Aussies discussing interesting characters and stories from across the sporting world and going way back too. Very Australian outlook, but seemingly well researched and well presented.
