Tricky, Raemond! I feel the frustration of wanting to do stuff, resolving to make more of an effort to do stuff, and then the stuff being whisked out of reach. You're doing better than me. I brought a knitting WIP and a bag of sock yarn and needles on holiday with me, and in almost a week I haven't touched it.

Mazlin
My Garmin judges me. But then it also frequently congratulates me on having achieved triple my stair climbing goal. Which I never have.

This class is just Olympic bar and plates, Sharkie. It’s taken by an Olympic lifting coach. There were only 4 of us, so that was good.

I have a non judgemental garmin forerunner 35. It gives a few congratulations when you hit targets. It’s simple too.
Good luck with getting out of the funk Raemond, sorry I’ve no useful suggestions for you.

Is that Snatch man Mazlin? I used to like Olympic lifting, but was rubbish at it. I trained with Michaela Breeze at her place near Swansea once.

Fleecy, thanks for the metronome idea.....I found the sweet spot/formula for slow jogging today. It’s concentrating on running lightly & quietly at a cadence of 180-190. Going quickly enough that I have to breath through my mouth but slowly enough that I breath diaphragmatically without concentrating on it. I grinned like a Cheshire Cat all the way today.

halfpint
I finally seem to be over whatever it was that was making me constantly lightheaded and fatigued so I am trying to get back into a routine in terms of exercise. I really benefited from a training plan at the beginning of lockdown. Even though I didn't always manage to stick to it rigidly I was more likely to do something if there was a plan.

I've also just messaged a colleague to see if she is around at the weekend for a walk. She's on the West coast so I can make a day out of it.

Maz that chap looks a bit scrawny. I'd be surprised if he could lift anything heavier than a broom handle.

*awaits Sharkie's approval*

* Another swim booked so 3 next week
* Messaged pool and got OK to book 2 back to back swim sessions and stay in pool so I can do the occasional long swim. Plan to do a benchmark race distance (3.8Km) swim as soon as I can
* Set up calendar in cycling training App to do 15mins yoga a day for next 4-5 weeks

Oh and 1 hr turbo this morning - think I need to buy new cycling short

(sits on sofa in exhaustion)

You don't need my approval Ms. Pixie - just give yourself an enormous slap on the back (careful!) high five, hugs, kisses, round of appause - whatever you fancy. Doesn't even need social distancing!

:-)

In rush, train to catch, laters, moonbeams.

About This Thread

As promised - a carry on doing stuff thread.

Not a typo above. Half term is too early in the month and end of month Halloween is over promoted anyway. Half time can mean whatever you want it too and BE whenever you want it to be.
