RowPro has supported PM5 since version 4.2, For anyone that has RowPro 4.0 or 4.1, the upgrade should be free of charge. This was back from about late 2014.

Do you know which version you're running ?

I'm running 4.3, Jef. When I did a brief just row it saw the output. But when I tried to load up a preprogrammed workout it told me there was a problem, even though the pm indicator light was green. I'll do some experimenting. Would be shame if it doesn't work, I like RowPro.

Hmmm. Further investigation shows that I would have to upgrade the laptop to Windows 10 then install version 5 and go to an annual plan.

Nope.

Damn. I was hoping to go back to RowPro some time soon.

I'm running Win 11 Pro but my RowPro is Version 4. I was hoping for a simple free update.

Time to look for alternatives then.

Seems I can still buy a lifetime licence rather than a regular plan but it would cost $99 for ver 5. Seems a bit steep, although I bought ver 4 back in 2009 so I guess 13 years is fair return on that investment.

Love it - I remember at the indoor champs a few years back there was only one VW80 (and she started rowing in her 60s!).

Glad you're finally back on the erg Jef, did you have an operation? I had a meniscus tidy up in Oct 2020, been pain free since - as long as I don't run (bone on bone).

Wishing you speedy recoveries Sallykate and Nellers, take it easy!

That's a beautiful erg Muttley, you need to christen that with a 2k TT 🤣

Great to see loads of activity here. Sorry to hear of injuries Nellars & sallykate. 😍 at the new rowerg Muttley - hope it gives you years and millions of metres of service.

I went for a run today! My first of the month, after about 3 miles once in January. My heel is aching a bit now, but an afternoon of watching rugby and stretching lies ahead. I took it easy at a parkrun, running the first (almost) half with my son (13), before pushing on, to spare him having to hear any more of my "encouraging" Dad chat.

Then a surprise on the erg. With no commitment at all, I dialed in a 2k row, deciding to emulate the parkrun approach of an easy and relaxed first half. After all, tired legs and sore hamstrings meant going for a PB was daft. But a comfortable arrival at 1k meant I was unexpectedly in that zone, and I pushed on to hit 7:20.0 on the dot (Nellars, would you do the honours please?) It was one of easiest 2k rows I can remember, which is both weird and great, all at once. Maybe all this rowing is making a difference?
