That's a great effort Dave, and I can empathise with the backside comment, having exactly the same (distance and time) for the first time just seven weeks ago. Unlike running an ultra, that temptation to just stop is so much stronger.
And good see you getting some rapid pace there, Craggy. Those ones are tough too.
I've just finished a toughie too, targeting a PB for one hour. Two months ago, I did a slow hour just to see if I could row for that long. A month ago, I went for a faster pace (2:02.5) to set a PB. So this was only the second one rowed in anger. Chuffed to have snuck past my 15k target š
Thanks folks. Your words carry much weight - especially as I am jealous of those 7:0x 2k times in the sidebar. I'm still aiming for that later in the year.
Super-tired arms and legs today, so decided that would make 3x 10x20s sprint intervals (close to 500m pace) worth a bit more. The 20s rests soon felt way too short. Also added a fast 4-minute PB beforehand (woo! An extra three metres!)

Random question! Why is a 6k row on of the standard C2 ranked pieces? Haven't tried that yet.
Nice session Andy, I'm sure the PM timer runs slow during reps and speeds up during the rests!
The 6k is an odd one, the first time I did 6k I went faster than my 5k pb, so of course I had to smash out a 5k a few days later!
5x1500m/5r today, first time I've done this session in almost 2.5 years. So that's good markers put down for 250, 500 & 1500 intervals this week, I'll "look forward" to pushing on with these now.
Thanks Craggy. Double ruptured knee meniscus at work back this time last year put paid to the sub 7 2km attempt just when it was looking close. Only now able to compress at the catch.
