Yep, GimmeMincepies, one of the reasons I like Brid is the easy route to Sewerby! And the parkrun there. :-)

Merrymoo, Is Chertsey too far in? It's technically Surrey, but inside the M25! goo.gl Not a bad spot, surpisingly quiet considering where it is, next to the Thames, and convenient for the M3 corridor!

3M - I stayed at that campsite many years ago - parents slept in a touring caravan, my sister and I were booted out into a tent to sleep. It was a light weight (for then) a frame tent and the wind was so strong that night it bent one of the poles!

Have just booked Devizes for between Christmas and New Year - made sure we got somewhere this year - lovely site with a pub right beside, and others a little walk along the canal

I'm hoping there will be signs of snow in Scotland and we'll head to Braemar or Glenmore for New Year once again.

Anyone know of a Camping & Caravanning site that is really close to somewhere I can swim/SUP/kayak? Lakes, 'safe' river, sea, any would be fine. By 'really close', I mean walking distance with the relevant equipment, as I don't really like driving the MH off somewhere once I've parked up. I looked at Kingsbury Water, but with 15 lakes they don't do any swimming! Also looked at Pevensey, which is nice, but wondering if anyone has any favourites they could recommend.

We are at Glenmore CC site at the moment, LouiseRuns ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ. Itโ€™s up near Aviemore in Scotland. The site is a couple of minutes walk from the beach and Loch Morlich. There are people SUPing on the Loch. Itโ€™s beautiful here

Devizes is right next to the canal - I walked and carried my sup from the site and it wasn't too bad.

Am too looking for sites next to rivers, lakes, Canals for the same reason.

Looks lovely GimmeMincepies. Devizes also sounds like a good option, thanks!
