I'm having trouble trying to find a site for the half term.
Can find sites with pitches that have no electric hookup, but I want Electricity.
And too many are booking my phone only - not helpful when I'm sitting down at 9pm to start looking.

Pretty much anywhere - but starting looking at Norfolk and then briefly in the south west

I was looking at this one for a weekend in July (it's near where I used to camp as a teen) think it's got spaces for half term.....

Got in quick this time.
Booked a site for the August bank holiday.
Going to Kessingland.

I have done this without consulting her who must be obeyed.

So I have probably got it wrong.

lol Stander :)
I've booked a cottage for the family just under Kinder Scout - they've all made it quite clear that they don't approve of my choice :-0

So I head to Great Yarmouth (Kessingland) for the August bank holiday and then the following weekend I am at Silverstone camp site from the Thursday through to Sunday (not motor racing related).

Hardly worth driving home on the Monday is it?

First in an occasional series of site reviews:

The Larches, on the A595, nr Bothel, Cumbria.
Chosen as it's about halfway between Carlisle (daughter visiting) and Keswick.
Somewhat dated, with collapsing and rotting static caravans dotted around, BUT - really large pretty flat pitches, beautifully quiet - apart from the dawn chorus
Water and electric on the pitch.

Toilet block was great - a little 1970s vintage maybe

with 6 or 7 individual shower rooms (centrally heated) in each ladies/gents block.
Library in a little summer house
Games to borrow
Shop selling camping/caravanning stuff
5 minutes drive from a decent pub for meals.

Recommended if you like quiet sites :)
