membership will easily be paid for with the linked discounts - especially as youngest needs a new hiking rucksack and daughter and I tend to live in walking trousers.....

I assume you already had someone do the recommend thing (I've only just seen this thread), but if not and you still want I'll do.
We have a tin tent as missus won't slum it and sleep on the ground, but membership has more than paid for itself in discounted trips away.

We've stayed on a number of different sites. The bigger club sites are always well catered for but we tend to prefer the smaller cosy sites, but that does mean a little more research on the C&C website checking through facilities available and reviews.

I was member for one season but as a camper found the rules and the tidiness of the sites quite off-putting.

The no car movements before 7am might be one - If I was on my own and didn't have to wait for hotel brekky I'd be raring to be off somewhere by then, I don't do sleeping in daylight very well .....
