LOL @flanker. Wouldn't be a very efficient route for me, seeing as I live just the far side of Mill Road from Coldhams Common.

Sound plan HB (both bits!)

Public meeting at Barnwell Baptist Church 7:30 on Aug 8th - I won't be there as we're on holiday. Hopefully the team will be able to answer any queries

Was over at Loch Leven's Larder by Kinross where the new parkrun course is being built - I think this may be part of it. Handily, someone was even running on it :-). Only went round as far as you can see, a path, which still needs dressing on the lower part. That's a (quite sloping) cricket ground mid view. Very scenic, very exposed.

LLL itself is one of those nice places with nice things at eye-watering prices. I do wonder who pays them - then again, at those markups you don't actually need to sell very much.

imagine actually building a parkrun course... that's very forward thinking!

i guess it'll be well used the other days a week too.

Bonny place!

If you could build a course, what kind of course would it be - mine would be stupidly flat and quick - I;d throw a few trees along the side of the route too for shelter

Mine would be undulating with long sweeping corners and no sharp bends on a mixture of tarmac and gravel paths with views of the countryside.

I'd like the pancake flat course, with wide banked corners to make it easier to get the buggy round, and the swings close by but out of sight of the route so the passenger doesn't spot them on the way past and start screaming at me. :)

There may be an inaugural parkrun happening near you. Best to check with the local parkrun volunteers to see if they want you to know about it or not.

Otherwise there are plenty of already established parkruns to go to in the UK and abroad, see: parkrun.org.uk
