Mine would be rough under foot, with sharp climbs and descents, no flat, and definitely no tarmac. Lyme Park is the only place I've found that get close yet.

I'd make it like Falkirk, except the hill would not be as high.

My second course would be like Strathclyde, but with tree cover for most of it. (And a new layer of tarmac.)

You should visit Drumchapel sometime Flanker, I think it would suit. As might Plean mostly, although it has a bit of tarmac.

Flanker, I think you might quite like Whinlatter :)

I'd design a course that was like a F1 race track in miniature.

Give me a shady one lapper round a lake, gentle curves and a firm gravel path.

Sounds like Divonne Les Bains (not sure how many laps, but have run around the lake there).

Delamere is the place for you 57.5 - fits that just about 100%.

V - planning on enjoying Whinlatter in about 10 days :-)
I’d feel a bit guilty travelling to Scotland just to run 5k unfortunately.

The other one I’d recommend is Wepre. Killer hill. Twice :)

There may be an inaugural parkrun happening near you. Best to check with the local parkrun volunteers to see if they want you to know about it or not.

Otherwise there are plenty of already established parkruns to go to in the UK and abroad, see: parkrun.org.uk
