Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Let's talk about inaugural parkruns after they've happened.

Sorry, that was a bit terse - blame the cider
I can't say strongly enough how much a quiet start is needed though

No problem multiterrainer. It’s not my local so it will be a while before I visit but after the length of time it’s taken to get this off the ground and the many hassles that we’re behind this it will be nice to see the inaugural go well.

Goof luck HB, although I think you might struggle to keep it low key in Cambridge, not from people chasing inaugrals but just due to the huge local demand & interest

Just to clarify - I am not ED but am helping. We want runners, we want participation. Local Cambridge runners are very welcome from event one onwards. Everyone else, please give us a few weeks to bed down and let the local population get over the shock. No cafe available though which is a disadvantage for us caffeine addicts

:-o. No Coffee & Cake? That'll help keep the numbers down!

Although surely one of the local establishments will have the sense to put themselves forward and get a huge boost in early Saturday morning trade.

There may be an inaugural parkrun happening near you. Best to check with the local parkrun volunteers to see if they want you to know about it or not.

Otherwise there are plenty of already established parkruns to go to in the UK and abroad, see: parkrun.org.uk
