Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Let's talk about inaugural parkruns after they've happened.

I collect those little token things they give you at the finish ;)

Pirates, Bingo, Uber Cowl Masons... The Wilson Index seems to be one of the latest but I did spot this Star Wars challenge a few days ago - 2 Rs ,2 Ds(R2D2), a C, 3 Ps and an O (C3PO) all finishing off on May the 4th next year ( although i expect they could also do CCCPO.

The 'running different consecutive so that the last 10 runs on your profile spells out a random word' ( usually parkrun ) seems to have lost favour recently though.

Back on topic.... ;) One for the 'now invisible' long term list - a bit more than grapevine though given there's a meeting taking place next Monday...… castlehoward.co.uk

the other common collectable is all the seconds, i.e. finishing times with seconds from 00 to 59. (I expect someone somewhere has given it a name).

And like most of these lists, do enough and it'll happen by itself.

Personally I tend to collect those parkruns with the best cake and breakfast cafes.

parkrun bingo.

I suppose you can actually try to get the full set but I'd think most people just get them by accident, when I first heard about it I checked and had already done it after 200+ runs.

There may be an inaugural parkrun happening near you. Best to check with the local parkrun volunteers to see if they want you to know about it or not.

Otherwise there are plenty of already established parkruns to go to in the UK and abroad, see: parkrun.org.uk
