Fragile Do Not Bend
Wildebeest - it might be worth looking to see if you can run it under the Run Together banner, from an insurance point of view.

Hello multiterrainer, I was under the impression that Lancing parkrun was still trying to get a core team together. I know the money & council permission were obtained ages ago. Just to muddy the waters, for the last couple of years, there has been a 5K run at Lancing Beach Green. This is held on a Sunday though by a local running group. I'm hoping to bump into the local parkrun ambassador on Saturday in Hove Park. If he's there, I'll ask him about the Lancing parkrun & if he knows of a start date. I'll also ask if he knows when East Brighton Park parkrun might start. |

12barDavid - the wiki is an official parkrun site so would assume that as it's now 'accepting registrations' then it could be any time in the next month or so - just sort the status column alphabetically and you will see Lancing on the list.....https://wiki.parkrun.com//index.php/Technical_Event_Information

It was in the local paper tonight that Bodelwyddan is starting on 18th August. Very frustrating, less than three miles from our house, yet down tight nsl roads with no pavement, so will still have to drive to it. Shame they can't make the route safer as would be a perfect warm up.

Thanks multiterrainer, for the link. Your quite right, that'll teach me to listen to idle chit chat. I'll keep my beady eye open for a start date as it's only 3 or 4 miles along the coast from me.

Not a huge notice for Bod Castle in the Journal Bonnets but was pleased to see a start date for Prestatyn juniors. The kids will earn their wristbands before their 50 shirts now. I spoke with one of the RDs of Nant y Pandy. He says the course is not going to be suitable for 100s of runners to descend on it so would like to keep it quiet, certainly to begin with. If helps with the name that no one will know where it is :D |
