Having finished a Twix, I picked up my Garmin's Ant stick and moved it straight to my mouth.

Put the coffee in the filter machine, filled the coffee pot with correct amount of water. Popped full coffee pot straight on to the hot plate instead of using the water to fill the machine and wondered why nothing was happening.

The old Nottingham Canal has a semicircular bend, but there is a shortcut that although involving some descent and ascent is a fair bit quicker. The club mate i was running with didn't know this path, so i intended to use it. (Just after 9 miles on the route below). We were talking, funnily enough about runner's high and drifting into a meditative state, when i suddenly noticed the path. Off we went along it, up to the canal and turned right to continue on our way.
Unfortunately we had passed the turn off initially, too involved in conversation, and had in fact taken the path after having run the bend, taking the path in the wrong direction and then repeating the bend.
The most senior moment was that i only realised it after getting home and i was wondering why we had run further than i thought and then noticed 9 and 10 miles were rather close together.

Similar vein to Chrisity...
Ran a virtual race today, the route was an out and back, approx 5.5 miles. As I crested a hill I could see the marker for the turn around point in the distance.
I looked at my watch and was dismayed to find I wasn't even at half way yet...

I can relate to senior moments mid run - I don’t seem to have enough brain space to process the world and run at the same time

That's brilliant Chrisity
[SusiesueH - I've no idea what my brain does while I'm out running .. I obviously think of things but ask me what and I'll have no idea!]
