I got a fake parkrun PB this morning! It was a new course that is probably the fastest I could do starting and finishing at the end of my drive. It was a single lapper, first 3Km all flat tarmac, then 1Km muddy uphill through the woods then a glorious 1Km downhill finish. All the road crossing were wuite quiet this morning at 8:30

Probably not, i think, njo. The primary aim is generally to increase the parkrun population, rather than relieve existing parkruns.
(Tangentially, i have a particular view on induced demand re transport. I live on what was the main road from Glasgow to Stirling, and on to the Highlands. Since the 1960s though, a motorway has bypassed the town. Although I'm sure that there is quite a lot of induced demand (since the 60s there has been considerable expansion to motorway links around that initial stretch) there has also been massive traffic growth outwith that. Most times i cross the motorway i give thanks that it's there, as without it living in my house would be pretty much intolerable.)

I got up a bit too late for fake parkrun this morning and went for a walk instead.

I'm trying to come up with an out & back route for next week, as a last resort it may be along a main road.

My fake parkrun was very slow - something to do with it being 40 laps I think!
