Rascal
Fake#3 done. Much slower than last Saturdays. My route was very busy with other runners, cyclists, dog walkers and parents with children. So it was a minefield keeping distance between us all. Inevitably slowed me down crossing across paths and banks to avoid groups. Plus holding back from runners ahead. I stupidly thought a 7.30am start would avoid the crowds. Fat chance.

I know Rascal it's hard to gauge a time. I thought 11.45 would be busy but it wasn't too bad. Tomorrow ( if I can run ) I am hoping to be earlier but it is a quieter route. I probably should rest this leg but will cheated if I don't get out although I have set up a gym at home so could still do stuff.

Well done πŸ‘ DQ.

Over 28 minutes at fake parkrun for me today. Though I do have a couple of good excuses.

There was a really thick sea mist down on Worthing seafront. I could hardly see any of the other people out πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ walking, πŸš΅β€β™€οΈ cycling & πŸƒπŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ running along the promenade. I also didn’t choose the best route to get there. Lots of road crossings, where I have to stop & look out for cars as I can’t hear them.
When all said & done, at least I was out in the fresh air & on the turn for home the 🌞 sun came out.

Thanks Sigh for organising the fake parkrun.

We didn't go out till 1PM and hardly met a soul but everyone round here seems to be diligent about social distancing and most smile or say hello :)

Fake#3 done, 28.16, pretty happy with that all things considered, 42m of ascent, tad windy, support was thin on the ground but I got shouted at by the Yoot in the last 1k. COurse came in under at 4.99km, set off a bit wuick uphill.

Car parking ace, we have our own spot, finish area ace, my kitchen, toilets plush, refreshments, superb, Sausage and mash.

An all time "parkrun" PB of 18:39 for me on my 11:15 fake parkrun on an officially certified 5k course which still had the spray paint markings in place from last summer's run. I'm claiming that one for Fetch standards!! Only 2nd finisher though behind my lad back from Uni who reported himself disappointed with 16:17

Got to put that Manchester marathon training to some use anyway!!

Crikey larkim, that’s some running πŸƒπŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ. Well done πŸ‘, & what a WAVA. I could only go that fast πŸ’¨ in my dreams.
