We did Bakewell (in a hot summers day) and the cafe was very busy. Conversely we did one in the NE on a freezing day and the cafe was very busy too

Our cafe is usually rammed - except in the summer when the seats outside get taken instead. It's possibly because we're a very tourist heavy location but there's typically 30+ 'regulars' in there as well most of whom mix very easily with each other.

I'm looking forward to getting back - not least because, by the time do, we'll be able to use our summer route and I won't have to keep reminding people they can't take their dogs with them.

Meeting up with running club members is important for me - whether we go to a cafe or not afterwards, depends on who turns up.

Very rarely take part in the cafe culture as I've usually parked about a mile away. However, I do stand around and chat with friends before running off!

The Stable cafe at Killerton is usually rammed after parkrun. But they have a captive audience. Where there is more of a choice like at Exeter or Exmouth things level out and people don't go necessarily go to the recommended ones
I'm sure that increased use of the cafes is one of the prime reasons for the National Trust having parkruns

I very rarely go to the one most of our parkruners go to as : A. They don't do teacakes and B. I don't like the layout of it as it doesn't make for inclusive seating unless you are a total fasty and get to the one long table which they seem to have claimed as there's own. So we usually go to Dunelm Mill for a lovely teacake and Costa coffee :-)

On a sunny day we can have 60 to 70 runners at our Boathouse Cafe. Maybe others would if they did Egg and Beans on Toast plus a pint mug of tea for £3.00.

Sadly it is closed for the time being
