Eynsham the Red knows rain dear
Jen, I ran Weymouth a few months ago. They have a sort of shed near the start where bags can be left.

Re. Timing
It's my favourite job. My tip is to hold the watch by your ear and listen to the beep. If you get a crowd, count out loud as you press. luck

With two watches and a really handy clock comparison app available now to the results processors, there's really very little to fear from missing a runner.

Interesting to see how few parkruns are starting at a time other than 9am on Christmas Day. We start half an hour late at Cleethorpes in order to give folk at Scunthorpe, Normanby and Lincoln the opportunity to get a run in without having to get up stupid early to get to us.

Good to see that Boston are doing a Christmas one too and we're not the only one in England's second largest county any more.

Hello, parkrun thread :-0
JenLove, yes as Eynshamred posted, there's a shed with hooks on the door for coats & I'd love to meet you (at station but you might not want to arrive the 8:30 volunteer time :-) ) & look after anything else while you run
Weymouth is 3rd for flatness, I think, but can be muddy/busy as the track narrows especially on the outnback stretch

Thanks ferret. I'll hopefully be there on 6th Jan. Thanks for the offer but I'll jog from the station, it will be a good warm up! It would be nice to meet, do you know what your volunteering role will be?

Parkrun in capitals ? Stone the heretic because a crime such as correct capitalisation has far-reaching consequences, the next thing you know, people will be encouraged to run fast and be competitive.
