Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Well done everyone for your amazing efforts. I have not been able to make another attempt as I have a bit of an injury. I can still run but can't do any efforts. Hopefully will try again in a month or so.

7.07 on my watch. I’ve done three miles on the track all within two seconds of each other. Quite happy because I’m in better nick than I thought

Excellent running @Derby Tup, I guess if you do a single mile you'd be dipping under 7 minutes because you'll put in more effort than if you have more miles to do.

I meant I’ve done the track mile three times over the last couple years and they have been within two seconds of each other. I doubt I’d be under 24 minutes for 5K on the track

I had a go to day. I realised the Month was getting away from me so thought why not.

8.06!

Very happy. Quite windy last 400 do maybe a touch more to come yet.

@westmoors and I should stage a race somewhere in the midlands. It would be a close run thing. Literally tens of people might be half interested.

Well done @Ocelot Spleens for not letting the month go by, and a good time to try and better next month.

About This Thread

Maintained by Fenland Flier
For encouragement and general chat about the virtual mile challenges.

It's not easy pacing a mile race whether it's virtual or real, be it on track, road, grass or trail. Go out too hard initially and struggle towards the end, go out too soft and regret your finish time.

Use this thread to record your jubilation or allow us to commiserate with you.
