agreed, excellent signs there Clare.
Real shame about the shirt actually Brunski but no doubt I was more focused on comfort than fashion that day. And, that was before I'd slumped to the lows of wearing arm warmers - they are the business with a vest on a cold day

Nice work Clare, you're from certainly looks to be in a better place close to Manchester so good luck however you choose to approach it on the day.
I was planning on testing myself at alloa half but due deciding to late in the day, entries were closed. Instead I'll run a couple of local hills before coming along to cheer (more likely abuse 😉 ) bazo and others on menstrie brae!

Sounds like a great run Claire (especially given the rubbish organisation). WW - I've yet to try arm sleeves, but if they're good enough for Kipchoge maybe I should give them a bash! I quite like a vesr/gloves combo ☺️

On the basis that Farah and Kipchoge wear them, I suppose they must do "something", but I don't think they're for me

There were (and probably still are) elite athletes sponsored by Power Balance!

Obviously a little different in that I doubt there's extra money involved. Pretty its low down on performance benefits though.

I think they warm your arms
With my overheating problems, I'd probably prefer to wear arm coolers if such things were available. It was a little parky at Haweswater last week and I did consider starting off in gloves but I certainly wasn't going to run in a woolly hat like the guy who beat me!

Wow, that is pure snakeoil!
I can see how some athletes will literally wear anything for the sponsorship, but I'd still expect Farah and Kipchoge to be able to say "sorry Nike, that's not a product I want to have on race day" if it hampers them in any way.

I seem to remember some talk of Farah wearing for something other than warming. Can't recall where.
I can see from a warming perspective they are more versatile than a long sleeve, especially if you might want to remove them later.

Stoosh, I am thinking of giving Alloa a miss if you were wanting a place ?
The new arrangements would not be fair on my parents who would be my usual transport and no way I could ask my mum to walk the distance to the start and back or even to hang about in Alloa waiting for me.
Public transport would get me there about six hours too late !!!!
