Sorry to be late to the TREMENDOUS news from Lou and Stoosh. Congratulations you lovely people. I'm glad I don't have to think about having to run a solo virtual GFA, because I honestly don't think I could have. Or let's say, get within 8-10 minutes of 'true' race result at any given time. I'm quite sure that a good part of race day performance is the mental and physical rest/focus. Everything that week is about the race. And then adrenalin on the day. I don't think I could fake any of that and trick myself. (and then the benefits on top of that of running in group(s) on the day, which are unarguable) |

9 with 6 at target virtual london pace tonight. Well a wee bit faster. HR was well within the normal range for marathon pace so quite happy with that

This marathon in York seems to be still on. Not on roads so more likely not to be cancelled possibly? racebest.com |

Dorney Lake Marathon is still on for the 4th. There’s loads of people running sub 3 (the start is in waves so you can tell). I’ll b there, but won’t be going sub 3.

I would be nervous doing any race at the moment (I pulled out of Bath Half at the start of this) but Dorney Lake is so f***ing windy it’s probably one of the safest places to run.

Coniston trail marathon is still on for the 4th too - I'll be doing my virtual London there. Not a hope in hell's chance of GFA on that course though 🤣

Nice to hear of some actual races going ahead and like the idea of people doing a virtual marathon in a real one sort of a two for one offer
