Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

WW - ""I’m actually take part in a 10k race tomorrow. Given current state of fitness I’m taking part, not racing but I’m looking forward to the whole experience!""

Sand-baggiest member of the thread :-)

Sharp running of late, SPR. Why is a Nuneaton Harriers event held in Wolverhampton?

Yes I thought the same earlier PtB. WW has nicked Larks crown as "Sand-baggiest member of the thread" :) :)

Thanks PtB (and WW earlier). Location was just wrong, I must have copied a race in Wolverhampton when I made the entry. Race was in the middle of Nuneaton.

There's a few from this thread sandbagging over on the Sub 40 10k thread, lol.

I need to find one of those lines that lark normally constructs so well in defence!

Reckon I could go a bit quicker with a bit of focus now tbf but I'll take the dig!

You've been doing some decent mileage WW so surprised you doubted your fitness?

SPR - yes and no. Lots of very unspecific 'general' running. Very few sessions, even fewer of those tempos runs that always help me define the kind of pace that I might be able to sustain in a race.

I also think that for the marathoners there's a real feeling of confidence that comes from those high mileage periods. For me that's a few months at 60-70 mpw, not the 40-50s that I've been on.
