Perhaps, they've been readiing the Eve Smith thriller (sounds good actually) and mistaken it for fact? It's one where antibiotics have failed and everyone over 70 isn't allowed any medical treatment and are sent into homes basically to die?

Despite the royal family death one surmised here, it doesn't seem to fit any sensible rational...

Happy to be wrong, it just seems the most likely meaning to me.

You'd just say death of a royal. Over 65's instead doesn't make sense. How does over 65's imply royal?

They are hedging their bets I reckon. They can’t say old royal but the way it’s worded they catch Lizzy, Chas, Phil etc

That's a massive leap TBH. If a royal under 65 dies, there would likely be national mourning as well so it doesn't make sense anyway.

Googling suggests it’s a fairly standard thing. Not that I’d noticed it before.

This must count as one of the most bizarre topics of conversation on the sub 3:15 thread over the years..............

.....but as there's no races to train for and talk about, fair enough ;-)

This inevexco.co.uk implies that OTG could be right.

First session on my 8 week schedule done. Long run with 2x6 miles @ marathon pace. I’ve developed a schedule adapted from JD 2Q 18 week plan. Unsurprisingly there aren’t many 8 week marathon plans out there.

However if you want to know how to get from inconsistent training to just shy of a world record in 8 weeks this sweatelite.co is fascinating.

If it's supposed to be what's in puzzler's link then the wording is wrong, in fact it should just say national mourning as the 65 in that link refers to it not happening for over 65 years not to the over 65's!

Jda - I struggled to find much TBH.
