Sounds like a decent plan. I'm settling for a low-key hilly HM just to set me up for winter training. Also means I don't need to train properly now, just keep ticking over.

But why "national mounting for the over 65's" rather than "an official day of mourning". Just seems a really odd phrase. Whilst I wouldn't be mourning, in sure plenty of others under the age of 65 would be!

Notable also that in the event of a covid lockdown there is no refund.

Yes, I can accept losing the cash if necessary given the overall charitable nature of the event. Given some of the guidance issued in the last few days I can see this one maybe going ahead, but if nothing else I'll retain motivation for another week!

Seems to me that the athletic/running advice is a fair way behind the risk acceptance of say going to a pub. Plenty of time for things to change and if they don’t have to refund, they also don’t have to cancel early

You rather missed the point, I think, Larks. I think they are expecting the deaths to be over 65, not the mourners

It literally says what wrote so I'm not sure how it can be read any other way.

Thanks SPR. Indeed, "national mourning" I can understand, it's the "over 65's" bit that don't understand. Googling the phrase it looks like it only crops up in the RunForAll Ts&Cs plus a couple of others.

Reading 564 again, I see what Oscar means (I'm not sure you meant what you wrote in that post?)
"national mounting for the over 65's" = The nation mourning for the death of over 65's IMO.
It's still an odd phrase. Is there some doomsday scenario where everyone over 65 dies?
