Classic P&D week 1 13m with 8@MP done this morning as the Manchester schedule was still in my diary, so I thought I'd get ahead of myself. After completely avoiding any tempo or MP running since about April was very surprised to be within a couple of seconds per mile over the same 8m MP session that I did at the start of the abandoned Manchester build up back in January. Too fast to be MP of course, though it was net downhill, and HR was too high at the end, but if it hasn't trained me (and not injured me) it has certainly boosted the confidence / mojo on the off-chance that Yorkshire isn't cancelled.

Local Mid-Cheshire 5k at the end of August is also seemingly planning to be run, with a reduced field and a "fast" start and a "slower" start to reduce congestion. Small steps to normality...

I admire your ability to get out there and get it done like that lark. All mojo has gone here, the only way it'll get re-ignited is to see others get out there and race I suppose.

Do you have or can you get a place in the 5k?

Well done larks, that is a strong session. As others have said, you have a level of natural talent that would convert into very good times with a bit more mileage.

Ptb, can you put me in the side bar for Boston, Lincs on 13 September, please? They are working hard with a plan for it to go ahead and I am starting to crank out the Jack Daniels quality sessions. Starting to get optimistic about it happening.

Larkim - Was it you that said the Runalyze shows the raw VO2 max value from each run calculated by Garmin?

Got an 800m race on Sunday. Will be weird to run all the way in lanes and it'll be 4 people max as it's every other lane.

Yes, SPR. You have to select "VO2Max from file" as a field to be displayed (or something similarly worded) as a custom column.
