Any results yet? Live timing is still broken and I refuse to use Facebook (it just encourages them)

Results seem to be working ok now, times nowhere near as quick as I was expecting overall but certainly some great efforts in there

Deceptively tough course at Cheshire and I think a lack of race practice in the past year was the undoing of a lot of people, myself included. 2.26 for me though, I should have run faster but I didn’t and I guess that’s the trick of this running malarkey! If they put on another one though I would 110% recommend running it

Well done Stokesy - if your fetch profile is correct then that's a couple of mins off your pb. A great run given the lack of races in recent times.

That is a cracking time.
Now I've seen the number of laps and shape of the course, I'm not sure sharp turns same way roughly once per km is all that friendly to the legs.

DNF for me. Was going well until 8 miles, when I noticed a niggling pain in my right ankle. This got progressively worse and moved up to my calf, forcing me to pull up at just over 17 miles. A shame because splits were bang on target, even to the point I pulled out. It was the camber of the roads which did for me I think. Oh well, sub 2.20 at the next one. Just the calf is sore today, the rest of my body feels fresh!

Heads up for anyone who was down to do Edinburgh Marathon or similar - they have converted entries to do the virtual race unless you tell them to defer to the 2022 event, deadline to make changes is Friday

My EasyJet flights to and from Berlin Marathon just got canceled (I'm getting a refund). Flights schedule is reducing to twice a week now from Edinburgh. Really hope the marathon still goes ahead. I've entered Abingindon as a backup.
