Never had any interest in royalty. People are people. However, I have actually met loads! Largely due to my involvement with horses. Within that environment, all were normal and lovely, apart from Charles.

I’m not a huge monarchy fan, no street parties here, but I’d rather live in this monarchy than any republic I can think of. I will be watching it on TV (if fate had worked out slightly differently I might well have been in London) and there’s a distinct possibility that I may well get caught up in the moment and join in with the pledge of allegiance. Maybe I’ll go and start a coronation supporters thread.

Oh I dunno, Eire seems a pretty good example of a republic.

A better half way house is where there is a monarchy but it really is almost invisible.

Recycled enthronement chair. I bet that’s a really cheap option 🤔

If he had used it unaltered, it would have been a good thing but I cringed reading that article! Greenwashing of the highest order...

About This Thread

Maintained by Muttley
So will you be waving your little union jack and pledging your allegiance and scoffing coronation chicken or quiche at a street party?

Or ignoring the whole bloated exhibition of flummery and forelock tugging to inherited privilege and finding more important things to do?

I'm in the latter camp :-)
