So will you be waving your little union jack and pledging your allegiance and scoffing coronation chicken or quiche at a street party? Or ignoring the whole bloated exhibition of flummery and forelock tugging to inherited privilege and finding more important things to do? I'm in the latter camp |

I will be heading off on the A303, M5 and A30 and hoping for blue skies and empty roads. To the Duchy of Cornwall. Purely by chance, not as a protest or celebration. |

I’m smugly pleased with myself for not even having a scooby when it’s happening. If I find out, I might go for a stroll round the town centre with a blank bit of paper to see if I can get myself arrested. |

I've booked a table for the street party at the seaside but mainly because it'll be fun to have the family around for an unusual picnic and Sidmouth likes an excuse to have a street party - this will be the second we've been to (missed the one last year because of covid.) Otherwise, not terribly interested in the event itself.

Pledging allegiance can get stuffed and that eggy gastronomic abomination can get in the bin but I'll probably watch more of the proceedings than I currently think I'm going to.

I'm disgruntled the preparations disrupted my journey to a 5k race on Friday. London is a mess. (But I'll enjoy the extra bank holiday!)

Good luck with the empty roads to Cornwall, um One of my favourite running routes along the coastal path takes me past a sign by a path to the beach, informing me that the land between high and low tide marks (the foreshore) is the property of the Duchy of Cornwall. Public access is allowed, in other words we can enjoy the beach by their grace and favour. |

Assuming it goes on past three in the afternoon it'll be on the kitchen speaker at work.
