I shall be celebrating next weekend, but only because it’s my birthday!

I don’t even get a bank holiday to enjoy now that I’m retired so there’s nothing special to enjoy on the Monday.

There is a low key street party on Sunday afternoon that we will go to but only to meet up with friends and neighbours.

I have no idea if there are any celebrations in my village. I only realised what was going on when my chemo was postponed by three weeks because of the two bank holidays. Not that pleased to be honest!

I find it most odd that urgent medical treatments are readily moved in this country, in favour of a bank holiday...
My sister, who underwent cancer treatment in the Netherlands, had chemo on Good Friday, a holiday in the Netherlands. She is appalled that a bh comes before people's health.

I'm truly horrified that they have the affront to ask people to pledge allegiance, actually I mean stupidity not affront. How out of touch with reality, I hope it backfires massively.
