I have been absent for a month. Sorry! There was such a lot of dance stuff in December I didn't get round - and then got into a can't be bothered state. Or more truthfully it's-too-cold-to-go-into a cold room state.
Anyway am still a believer in the efficacy of Caroline and her half hour sessions. So I started again where I left off with my third time through. Well - almost. Day 18 was one of her endless glute based hip thrust sessions and I have three days of dance lined up so thoguht the full body nature of Day 19 was a better idea.
Was quite pleased I don't seem to have lost anything since the end of November. There's hope for us all.

Well done. I’m hoping to get back on it this week but there always seems to be a reason / excuse why I don’t fit it in. This week it’s that B isn’t back to school till tomorrow, then I’m getting the boiler replaced (hopefully) sometime this week so currently don’t know which days are office days and which are WFH.

I’ve finally re-started with this after moving house. Did day 1 (with warm up of course). Tough. I think she said she’s got 2 x 15kg. That is so strong. I’m going to build up slowly weight-wise, but don’t think it’s likely that I’ll reach 15. :). The side lunges were difficult for me - there are a couple of muscles aching already, despite cool down and extra stretches.

DOMS today! Might have to do day 2 (upper body) sat in a chair.
Just off for a dog walk in the snow and then back for Caro.

Well done Squirrel! 2 x 15 is ludicrous for most of us I reckon. She is only in her (late) 30s I think, and it IS her job now... but yep she's one strong lady.
No dancing today after three consecutive late night classes, so I reckon I can squidge in Session 20 - Superset Arms, Abs and Core Workout. Have committed here now ... hope that works!

I've done it. Wasn't pretty. Started ok-ish with a pair of 6kgs (arms) but half of the bicep work I used 2 x 4.5 last time, I had to drop to 2 x 3kgs ( don't have 4s here in Dalston)
And I hate most abs work, reverse curls ok but bloody crunches I have always loathed, blaming my tight thoracic spine. Perhaps I will ask my fabulous new osteo about it.

Well done Red Squirrel and Sharkie! RS hope the DOMS disappears quickly.
Sharkie I don't like the long abs sets either, mainly because my dodgy lower back really won't tolerate sit ups and things like reverse crunches that put a lot of weight through it. I've had no qualms about swapping Caroline's exercises for other things I know I can do - what my old pilates instructor called 'abdo prep' (sort of mini crunches), dead bug variations etc - and just follow her timings for swapping between exercises.
I finished day 30 for the second time yesterday, think I'll go round again as it fits into life quite well and following the series does keep me more accountable. And - apart from the never-ending hip thrusts - I do generally enjoy it and it's satisfying when you progress to slightly heavier weights.
