Reading the thread, I realise we've been pretty lucky with our teenagers. Obviously it's terrible when they do something awful, but when you realise ages later it was a one-off, it doesn't seem so important. So far two and some fractions of ours have grown up, and we really expect the remaining two to make it before they're many years older.

to be honest I am really anxious about it - can see my whole life being different - especially as I work from home full time. he has been thrown out by his mum and wasput into college accommodation and is now being evicted from there

It's probably going to mean a lock on several doors and the removal of all alcohol from the house and keeping valuables locked away and I've no experience of dealing with withdrawal from mdma or m-cat or alcohol . . .

Oh dear Mulbs. I do feel for you, it's hard enough when it's your own. But it may well be if you set the boundaries as mentioned above and it appears he's on his last chance he may well be different.
