That's going in the right direction, N-o. I was a second slower this weekend.

I had a disappointing run at last weekend’s mob match 5k. Just couldn’t get going somehow and was over a minute slower than the week before. 32.43. I’m on Greg McMillan Garmin Coach 5k again, starting today. It’s the only way I can motivate myself to do speed work!

I think that the weather has an impact on performance, jenny. It has been so cold of late and that makes running harder, in my experience. luck with the training plan.

Progress continues. Over the previous six days, I've recorded walking on five, and running on three. 48.7 km on foot. Fairly sure that would be the highest six-day for a bit. Two five milers (one intentional, one accidental) and a fakeparkrun, with warm up.

Fpr was 32:34 on a course where I was 33:20 three weeks before (or, I only realised on Monday, 2000 seconds). Heart rate figures are looking ok, the fpr was at 76% awhr. And I am pacing quite well. Hopefully the bit more distance and if I can maintain a bit of consistency will help.

Just need to be able to drag that extra 10% of whr up (8% might even do) and I'll be there. Or lose nearly two stone. Think the former will be easier ;-)

With improvement like that, you'll be sub-30 by the time parkrun is back in action again 👍

Good work Dvorak. Have you seen OS's blog today? You might find some of it quite useful.

Thanks alpenrose, I had a look :-)

Another couple of walks and I'm on 63 km on foot over 8 days. May try for 80 in 10, have a run with a mate semi-scheduled for tomorrow - snow permitting! I am feeling it though.

A couple of years back i got some surprising parkrun times off the back of extra walking and not much running, let's see if it works again.

My 5k time improved from 41:40 (13:25mm) to 39:25 (12:41mm) during January.
I could have this sub 30 cracked by December at this rate ;)
