Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

*chuckles* and Mandy's post reminds me of hubby and I going for a walk then lunch with my friend and her boyfriend and dog. Hubby always kept referring to the boyfriend as Ben...who was the dog. Bruce was the boyfriend...and was discarded by my friend a few years later.

I shall come and confess this one that occurred last week.

Got ready. Fetched bike from shed. Pushed it through house. Locked back door. Unlocked front door. Went outside. Locked front door. Last minute check; helmet, bright yellow jacket, backpack, sunglasses, gloves, bike lock key.
Set off... on my usual walking route to my appointment, with the nagging feeling that I had forgotten something...

Carp - someone ran parkrun once with a cycle helmet on having cycled there. I didn't even notice there was anything odd until she realised and got embarrassed.

Signed up for the gym Christmas do and have no idea what date it is (I didn't check). I was too intent on filling out my name and the special dietary requirements.

Sadly my social life is such that whatever day it is, I'll be able to go anyway.

I nearly did that once, realised and took it off on my way to the start line!

LOL Carp, I've cycled to my former local office, put bike in lockup and headed to the station with the helmet still on. I did it twice! Took helmet off and put in backpack on train to London.

Repeatedly referring to ‘work’ as ‘school’ as in “I left it at school” or “I’ve put it in my school bag.”

Cussing the teacher (whose class I was covering) for hiding the remote for his classroom whiteboard only to realise that I was holding it in my hand :-(

Whatever Carpathius has can be transmitted by computer.

Got ready for bike ride this morning, grumbling to myself about how getting into cycling kit is so much more bother than getting into running kit. Put Garmin out to pick up satellite signal. Realised I'd forgotten shoe covers and went and got them from upstairs and put them on. Put on buff, helmet and glasses and picked up gloves. Went outside, locked door, put key in zipped pocket, put gloves on, picked up Garmin and went to put it on the bike that was still in the house.

About This Thread

This morning I went to charge my kindle and instead found myself trying to charge my coffee mug. It was my third coffee of the day as well, clearly not strong enough!

=============

I was just drying my hair after a shower, I switched the hairdryer on and suddenly the bedroom was plunged into darkness, the hairdryer wasn't working either. Great, the electrics have just tripped out.

I find a torch, go to the fuse box but nothing has tripped - turns out I pressed the light switch instead of the hairdryer 'on' button.
