With the demise of the RW forums, several of us who used to chat on the 'Mature Runners' thread have been made homeless (I posted on it even though I am no longer a runner!). I have created this thread so we can continue chatting and I hope the others will find their way here ..

Can’t they just join in with any of the various existing threads? Will they be maintaining a parallel existence?

Thanks for resurrecting the Mature Runners thread WtnMel, but as Diogenes says, there is a possibility of parallel threads. We do seem to be slightly overwhelmed with all the new threads.

I didn’t mean that to sound hostile, I was just trying to promote integration and cross-cultural exchange

Helpfully creating the thread shows related threads - you never know which new friends you'll make

There's gonna be loads of duplicate threads. But that's OK. Room for everything. As long as people don't miss each other. You can always consolidate later, if required. Welcome all RW refugees! G

To clarify, I'm fine with it so long as there is a tug of war between similar threads every Boxing Day.

I can see that there's another 'new' thread set up by a RW refugee that might overlap quite a bit with this one: fetcheveryone.com/forum/over-60-apos-s-training-63070 - although I guess it depends on the definition of 'mature'. I know some very childish septuagenarians for example
