You can see they are trying to play a more expansive game (hardly fair to suggest anything is Gatland’s fault over 2 years since he left) but you have to be pragmatic at times & sometimes you can only do what the opposition let you do. To illustrate - the much trailed Du Pont, Jalibert, Ntamack 9/10/12 didn’t exactly tear up the pitch against the Pumas tonight but it was a cracking game, even without hatfuls of tries.

They need to work on the scrum but the lineout was much better. I’m hoping they step up another level for the Aussies and at least get a win against Fiji. The idiot who ran on the pitch deserves to be prosecuted but I’m not sure Williams would have made the try, despite being obstructed by both the pitch invader and the official trying to remove him.
