Seems to have been hugely respected, as you might expect. Didn't know he was a fully qualified doctor and worked for 25 plus years in medicine. Was never a rugby pundit. Can hardly imagine that nowadays. G

Can hardly imagine that nowadays. G Jamie Roberts, played for Wales and the Lions between 2008 and 2017, finished his medical training somewhere in the middle of that period iirc.

Laura Muir had to fit 7 years of vet training in there somewhere, I remember one year she missed a couple of champs doing her exams. G
