Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

I too love HBs idea. It is much more feasible and all inclusive than a real run...

And thank you Fetch, for the update. I am glad he was in bed. Chances are he died peacefully in his sleep.

Definitely some relief and comfort in knowing that Steve died in bed, thanks for passing that on. I’m sure I’m not the only one who was imagining all sorts of scenarios.

Thanks for the update, Fetch. The virtual challenge could be based around sculptures of Britain, ending at Crosby beach.

Thanks for the update fetch

Love the idea of a virtual run but also could we do something like the Dr K cup?

I think the Dr K cup has been used to remember all Fetchies who we have lost EP - it just bears the name of DrK - maybe a name change to the event to be more 'inclusive' of all we wish to remember ?

Thanks for the update Fetch. Hope Steve’s family and friends can take some comfort from how he passed away in bed, hopefully peacefully.

fetcheveryone Will Swittle’s blogs remain on the site? Asking as I’ve got a month off and plan to read through all of them from the start.

About This Thread

Maintained by LipGloss
Never met him in person but always came across as a lovely man.

If you read about his nightly beach runs you could almost have been running along beside him.

He always encouraged others especially on the How was your run thread.

Hope all your beach run are still as perfect as they were while you were here xx
