Was saddened to hear this yesterday a true legend and gent. Never had the pleasure to meet or even see him. But his achievements have inspired always. Never realised he was a Geordie!

The spiel that went with the video link ^^ as I donโt like opening links with no context JOSS NAYLOR MBE ๐ข๐๐ Iโd rather not dwell on it but today Iโve shed tears on phone calls and more today. I could bore you all with details and more besides. I wonโt of course. So, hereโs a long uncut clip of Joss I filmed for my Scafells film in his memory. I must add that both me and Joss were paggered when we filmed these scenes in Greendale many years ago ๐ Sadly, the old home is a bloody holiday let now! ๐๐คฌ That said, myself and others supped a pint of Guinness or similar in his honour today. Joss loved his Guinness. Iโve no idea why as itโs pasteurised black pee as I used to tell him! ๐ Anyway, you may appreciate why I get so passionate and caring about such things. From ale to holiday lets. People make places after all! ๐ Places make people. Enjoy this lengthy video if you wish. Itโs honest. And real. No fancy set up with multiple cameras or owt. Itโs just real. PS I did have a lovely time on my phone today talking with folk about Joss. All sharing stories and what not. We shared tears too. I tried my best not to cry as I was in public in The Stag Inn or propped up by a gate on a back lane but tried to keep up the British stiff upper lip! ๐ข๐ข Anyway. I hope you enjoy the video. Itโs a tiny, tiny glimpse of a legend ๐ |
