Such sad news. I was lucky to meet Swittle a couple of times and like many really enjoyed his blogs, and his kind comments on my photos. Thank you Hann for raising the alarm, and Ian for following it up. A desperately sad outcome, but a tribute to the man and the site, first that he was missed, and then that he was found.

I'd also like to contribute to a bench / similar.

I was pondering as I walked this morning. Are we likely to be doing another run/walk challenge this year? If so maybe the virtual route could end at Another Place? Maybe taking in other Gormley sculptures on the way?

Never met him in person but always came across as a lovely man.

If you read about his nightly beach runs you could almost have been running along beside him.

He always encouraged others especially on the How was your run thread.

Hope all your beach run are still as perfect as they were while you were here xx
