Must admit I thought she was going to be a huge asset to Starmer, clearly there is something that doesn't fit well though. bbc.co.uk She’ll be going to work with Control in the Circus I expect |

I think the debate put some reality to the concerns though. People were concerned then you have the evidence that he's declining. The debate finished him off but it sounds like the defeat was going to be pretty big if he'd continued anyway. |

Why has Starmer turned against Gray (article says the job offer was likely to withdrawn)? Something had to be done previously and clearly Starmer chose a particular course of action but this seems odd if it was really Gray's decision. |

Welby didn’t want bankers to be shamed post the GFC. Not a man to be trusted, as these revelations show. bbc.co.uk As for your comment larkim, it’s not faux outrage re nonces. Sexual abuse of children has always been wrong, not and protecting them has also always been wrong. Not just from today’s perspective. I don’t know how anyone could think otherwise. |

I say it because mainstream comedy tropes, not just dark humour like we might see today, dealt with it openly and the same population that heartily laughed up the "in plain sight" evidence of it now say "we never knew this was going on, how shocking". Of course it's not so simple that if someone was caught that they weren't dealt with. You're right that it was always considered wrong. But you wouldn't get a sit com character today of a scout leader who had a "thing" for young boys etc with the studio audience giggling along. That's the double standard |

Also on Welby and his protection of offenders in 2013. Who was in charge of the DPP then? |

From a *very* cursory reading of the press coverage, it looks like it wasn't reported to the police in 2013 and that is partly why Welby has resigned. I'm not saying this because I want to engage with you @Fields because I think you are trolling, but because I think it's important to challenge misinformation.
