Musk appointed head of 'DOGE'? Seriously? This has to be some sort of fever dream

As much as I dislike his politics and am aware that not everything achieved by the companies he owns / heads up are down to him personally (and some would say few of the achievements do reflect him), having the boss of the firm that made spaceflight affordable and was a key driver in getting EVs to become mainstream would in isolation make him at least look like an appointable individual. He's successfully led organisations which have disrupted and made effective changes. It's hard not to see him as the twitter boss with horrific political views of course. And the way he has gone about some parts of his business are equally appalling. |

Musk thinks the world should be run without elections by a group of alpha, aneurotypical males. His appointment potentially just another route towards fascism. |

One of his first suggestions is that in a Bonfire of the Administrations, there should be a Xitter vote for what departments/functions the public think should be canned. #sigh G |

Great. Especially given the exodus in the last week. Not an echo chamber, definitely not.

Huckabee sounds a nice bloke 🤮 “There are certain words I refuse to use. There is no such thing as a West Bank. It’s Judea and Samaria. There’s no such thing as a settlement. They’re communities, they’re neighbourhoods, they’re cities. There’s no such thing as an occupation,” he said on the news network CNN in 2017. |

To be fair, all he said was "interesting observation" to a post which talked about that, amongst other aspects. Not entirely true to say he advocates for it (though he may well do). |
