*groan* The whole Doge thing is so played out. It's like when aging Internet denizens seize upon something that was a joke 15 years ago and pretend it's current and new. Will it be a Badgers and Mushroom department next? |

Is there really meant to be a witty connection between DOGE and the old meme / Dogecoin etc?

I can't imagine it's coincidental.

Well Elon is promoting tweets on that and he came up with the name. What's the alpha male thing about? The people around Trump have a plan and there isn't much to stop them executing it. Pretty depressing. |

Of course you can just imagine musk giggling about how clever he is with the acronym. His talent for efficiency is so great, he cut 80% of Xitter’a value and no one noticed the difference, perhaps because no one is there any more. Government by trolling. Wonderful. It’s going to be bigly great. So bigly you wouldn’t believe…they’ll be saying it’s the bigliest greatness of all time, better than Jesus, perhaps. And The Beatles. That’s what they’ll be saying. |

Imagine being so filthy rich that you could destroy 80% of a company’s value and not give a damn. I remember thinking in the olden days when the first Tesla cars came out that he was just a modern day version of John DeLorean - but if he is then he’s hoodwinked the whole world and if it all comes tumbling down lots of powerful people will presumably be swept away with him… |

If Twitter means he has the president he wants now and lots of control in Government, it's worth a lot more than the markets think (clearly not to them as they won't have that control).
