LOL, so she even selectively quoted the poem to avoid looking like she's nice to socialists and trades unionists!

I'd go with whomever designed the new stupid Champions League format first.

Clearly people aren't just allowed to do whatever they want because of choice. We have drugs that are illegal already. You can't just choose to murder someone. Choice has to be balanced against other priorities.

If you support people having choice and not banning then you should be against the outdoor ban. I support people having a choice & the ban, mainly my choice to sit in a pleasant pub garden on a nice day breathing in rancid shit from people who hate their lungs |

But but but free speech. Just ask Elon. I'm sure he'd say Murder is simply a form of free speech. |

There won't be a policy for a total ban, so a creeping ban will limp along for decades. Yay. A total ban can sit in the same WPB as "reverse Brexit now" and "bring back Spangles". None of them will happen. |

I'm assuming that the original Niemöller poem/speech was given in German, so variations will also be down to whoever translated it.

Choice has to be balanced against other priorities. Smoking? Murder? Get a grip. Come on. Try again with something sensible. Alcohol is hugely damaging and expensive for both the NHS and policing. We go after smokers we should be going after the drinkers soon after. |

I don't think he was saying smoking is murder. He was saying committing murder is a choice, and a choice which is illegal. Laws impact choice. They always have and always will.
