Absolutely disgusted to see the scenes in my city last night in what was supposed to be a peaceful protest. The aftermath will live with us for a bloody long time because of the mentality of a few idiots. At the end of the day the Police force are human and didn’t deserve the abuse, physical or mental attacks from the mindless thugs. Transport was taken down for the safety of the public, major roads were closed into the City centre which became an inconvenience, especially on a weekend evening. Our courts need to become aware that these idiots do not stand for the welfare of their country or give a damn about equal rights and should be expected to pay over the odds for the damage they’re causing to Southport, Hartlepool, Leeds, Sheffield, Sunderland and however many more towns and cities across “their country” are targeted this weekend. Ordinary Sunderland folk met from 7:30 this morning to tidy up the carnage left behind by the minority of thugs and idiots because it’s our community and everyone is accepted. |

I know there were some Sunderland shirts in there last night but I wonder what percentage of those rioting were actually from Sunderland. It does appear an element of organisation and rioters are on some kind of tour. Kudos for getting out there this morning. |

The government will begin the task of rolling back years of anti-trade union laws within days, the Observer can reveal, as ministers are ordered to ignore a key measure passed by the Tories as part of a wider “reset” of industrial relations in Britain. As a first step, departments will be told effectively to ignore a law passed last year designed to force workers across a series of industries to provide a minimum level of service during strikes. Nothing but Tories in disguise. |

The UK's most senior police crime commissioner released a statement that seems to justify the recent riots and says the government needs to stop "uncontrolled immigration" and "uphold and build on British values" to deal with the recent far right riots. She's now deleted it.

Crime Commisioners. Complete waste of time and resources. Their introduction was wrong on so many levels. Another stupid Tory idea.

Clearly one fully on the Braverman wing of the party. The tweet below contains the statement. x.com |
