PR very unlikely whilst either Tories or Labour in power. Would be turkeys voting for Christmas. So while they are in, there will be no PR. And without PR,, they will always (one or the other) be in. Vicious circle. The argument that FPTP government makes for strong government is trotted out every time. It might be strong, but we've seen time after time after time that it can be pretty shite, and in my opinion, going too get a lot shiter very quickly if Johnson and Cummings stay in charge. New Tory slogan... "Strong but Shite".. unless you're rich of course |

One way to get PR would be for the EU to make it mandatory for new joiners when we eventually re-apply😉.

It will put even more pressure on the care system. And there is no word of efforts to fix its current problems

There's still crops rotting in some fields from last year. We've had the wettest winter on record so a lot of fields won't be available for sowing when they should be. With migrant labour it's a potential perfect storm. As I've said. Nothing gets people out on the streets rioting faster than food shortages. My prediction is February 2021. |

Hospitality industry in Scotland is a genuine problem. Relatively low paid jobs in hotels, restaurants, coffee shops etc. must be staffed by 50% non-locals. And for Scotland, tourism is a major income. We genuinely need a different immigration policy to e.g. Home Counties. It should either be differentiated, or devolved as Scottish Govt are requesting. Grrr.

I heard there would be exemptions in certain sectors - is that not the case? Agriculture won’t be one I guess. |
