I find it odd Nellers that you seem to support PR voting but then complain that UKIP would then have some influence (If I recall correctly, didn't they get something like 10% of the vote?).
I can't square how you can support PR but not if it gives power to X party.
But my general understanding of this thread (I know I've not been here long) is that the majority of voters in the Brexit vote are wrong despite the numbers being 52% in favour. So there is some odd thought processes generally in here. I'll try and get used to it I suppose.
As an aside, with PR wouldn't more of the tree huggers get in and maybe have more of an effect?

I don't think Nellers was suggesting that 'X' party shouldn't get more of a say.
More pointing out that this would have been a downside to PR in that particular election (unless you supported ukip then no doubt you'll think it would have been an advantage)

And Brexit voters (imo) are wrong.
Just cos they won doesn't mean I have to agree with them.

Daft Vader, yes, it's quite possible for a majority of any given population to make a choice which ultimately turns out to be wrong. Given that virtually every opinion poll over the last couple of years has shown a majority in favour of Remain instead, had the people of this country been given the chance to vote again, they would almost certainly have reversed the 2016 referendum result.
