Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Right.

Decided to go for the "hold it as long as you can, rest until not dead, hold as long as you can again, repeat" method. As always when I get the yoga mat out, the cat decided to "help" - maybe when I develop some/any/a smidgen of core strength he can sit on my back rather than repeatedly smooshing his face and @rse in my face.

3:30 total planking
Breakdown: 60 P, 15 R, 45 P, 30 R, 45 P, 30 R, 30 P, 30 R, 30 P
P = plank R = rest

Ok, can't resist a challenge.

2 min 30 sec plank, 45 seconds rest, 1 min plank, 45 second rest, 1 min plank, 45 second rest 30 sec plank.

Collapse. Shoulders.

5 mins planking. But were my rests too long? They're longer than Bint's!
I don't like planks either and the carpet got up my nose. I locked the dog out.

Sharkie you have over-planked! Within 5 mins we had to plank for as long as we could, so the planks and rest periods added up to 5 mins. :-)

You've probably done enough for today! I felt it in my arms too.

No anybody who didn't do it properly must do it again NOW ;-)

Otherwise how can we all measure your/our progress?

Wonder what tomorrow will bring. More planking. Something different?

4:22 on a concrete hotel floor with skin graft thin carpet tiles on top. The worst part was trying to take my mind off the pain in my elbows.

I'm just glad I got a nice decently padded exercise mat, as its all laminated flooring where I am now that would hurt

3:28, really should have done it on my yoga mat as the carpet hurt my elbows in the end.

Surprised myself by managing to start with 60 secs in one go but the rest was very stop-start.
