Really proud of the core team and 77 volunteers at Maidenhead today managing our 965 runners & walkers. Smashed our previous biggest turnout of 625.

Not only Joe Wicks & family visiting, but also Jo & Paul Sinton-Hewitt, Pudsey Bear, Sophie Raworth, Duggee & Bluey, a bloke from X Factor, TV & radio, a car transporter full of minis, free coffee in eatable cups and free fruit. Loads of people walking and the tailwalkers came home in 1h 38 min.

Well done Dibble. A gentle walk round the local parkrun today (well, my knee wouldn't let me do anything else and fortunately it's basically flat). We seem to be getting a few more walkers which is good as otherwise would have felt (wrongly!) that everyone was waiting for me to finish [I think I probably notice this more as my time today was 30mins slower than my PB and I *know* in my head that walking parkrun is also be encouraged]

Well done Dibble ! Just curious, were most of the volunteers parkwalkers? I wouldn't fancy being the one to have to wash all of those bibs!

I think we had 4 parkwalkers (& 4 tailwalkers). The biggest group were the marshals, about 30 of them (including young children marshalling with their parents). It may sound a lot but we honestly didn't feel 'over-volunteered'.

All done by one of our fantastic volunteers!

We also borrowed bibs from the local junior parkrun and some us brought our own hiviz (cycling ones or from the back of the car).

There was no evidence of a tail walker at Zuiderpark on Saturday, perhaps it's not a required role there?
