I would definitely do it CW!
I sympathise Linds. We are currently paused in Wales, but I had to beg and plead and put out multiple appeals for Christmas Day for us to finally have enough volunteers to go ahead (I did have to ask the RD on Thursday if he wanted me to pull the timekeepers, fortunately it didn't come to that in the end).
I do miss parkrun happening in Wales, but I don't miss the constant begging for volunteers.

We have two people on the core team whose role it is is to fill the roster.

I've only once had to plead myself since the re-start.

We have Torry Quine and my Dad who have both volunteered well over 100 times each at our parkrun. Proper stalwarts. I'm RD this week and we still need a scanner and a marshal but we can go ahead without if we need to. I can always rely on a fast runner to scan for a bit. We only average 50 runners so we don't have big queues. The weather forecast is heavy rain for Saturday so I think that's put people off.

Still short of volunteers for Saturday so I have thrown my hat in the ring
I won’t lie, looking at the weather suggests this Saturday will be no day for fast running anyway so fingers crossed next weekend is better

Re Peter I wouldn’t do that without asking him of course but if he didn’t mind then yes I’d be sorely tempted.
I once volunteered to write a run report for an event when I was touring. Looking over the stats for that purpose, I noticed that volunteering at that event that day were twelve people with over a thousand volunteer credits between them. There was also a first time volunteer to be fair - but twelve is a big percentage of that particular event’s roster.
